GNFC Holiday Party Drive for Items for

Survivor Baskets

At this year's holiday party on Dec. 10th, the GNFC will be collecting items for Survivor Baskets for cancer survivors through the Amesbury-based charity Tough Warrior Princesses. TWP assembles and hand delivers Survivor Baskets around the North Shore of Boston. Friends and/or family members of cancer survivors who are in need of some extra comfort or cheer may request a basket for their loved one, and TWP always makes it happen. Keeping the baskets full is a constant challenge for TWP, and the GNFC hopes that this drive will help with that.
Here is a list of contributions that Tough Warrior Princesses needs:
  • gas cards (to help pay for trips to chemo/radiation/doctors' appointments)*
  • gift certificates for massage, acupuncture, yoga classes*
  • CVS gift cards*
  • Dunkin Donuts gift cards*
  • restaurant gift cards
  • comfy socks
  • caffeine-free tea/coffee
  • lotions or other skincare items
  • scented candles
  • candy/lozenges
  • note cards/thank you cards
  • puzzles like crossword or sudoku
  • journals
  • pens
  • bandanas
  • knit caps

*TWP is particularly in need of gift cards because every Survivor Basket includes a $20-25 Dunkin Donuts, $25 CVS, $25 gas, and $50 Massage Envy gift card.
